About the role
We're looking for another Auto Electrician to join us at Alliance Auto Electrics in Kununurra.
We're a busy workshop and the work up here is about as varied as it gets. We work on everything from loaders, graders and earthmoving gear to trucks, road trains, mining equipment, 4WDs and everyday light vehicles.
So if you're getting a bit sick of looking at the same fleet every day, you definitely won't have that problem here.
There's a bit of everything — repairs, fault finding, air-conditioning, fit-outs, breakdowns, workshop jobs and field work.
Some days you'll have a truck driven straight into the workshop. Other days you'll be out looking at a machine that's decided to stop working somewhere considerably less convenient.
Ideally, we'd love someone who's confident with diagnostics and has experience across heavy equipment and trucks, but don't rule yourself out if you haven't done all of it.
If you're a qualified Auto Electrician, can do AC work, have decent diagnostic skills and you're willing to have a crack at different gear, we'd like to hear from you.
We're currently a team of six, with a couple of our guys spreading their wings next year. There's no corporate structure, no layers of management and definitely no HR department.
We've got a big workshop with plenty of room to bring trucks and machinery inside, good gear to work with and, importantly, a bloody big fan.
We're busy, everyone pitches in and there's plenty to learn simply because of the range of stuff that comes through the door.
We're pretty normal people to work with too.
We know we're asking you to move a long way from most places, so we're willing to help make the move worthwhile.
For the right person we can offer:
• Good pay, depending on experience
• Help finding accommodation in Kununurra
• Two return flights each year to Perth or Darwin once you've been with us for six months
• Plenty of variety and the opportunity to build experience across a huge range of equipment
• Stable, full-time work
Kununurra is a great way of life. There's Lake Argyle and the Ord River on the doorstep, fishing, boating, camping and some pretty unreal places to explore when you're not at work.
You don't have to commit to living in the Kimberley forever — come up, give it a go and see what you think!
Send through your CV, give us a call or flick us a message.
No five-page cover letter required.
If you're even half-thinking about a move to the Kimberley, give Brent a call on 04•• ••• 564 and have a chat about the job, money, accommodation and what living in Kununurra is actually like!
