Operations and Production Coordinator

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the primary focus of this role is to provide assistance to and improve wherever possible the Operations and Production of ACC Higgins Victoria. Working with the Victorian Operations Team, Warehouse Team, Team Leaders, Production Staff, and some National staff as required, you will assist with continuous improvement and the operation of various systems to maintain suitable processes across the company whether that be in relation to stock, production, warehousing, safety, HR or many of the other aspects which fall under the operational banner. You will assist the Production Manager with customer enquiries and customer service, ensuring that their needs are met in the most professional way possible, and on occasions also production planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee quality control initiatives with the entirety of the Operations Team to ensure output meets quality standards

• Meet customer requirements including deliveries

• Provide guidance and leadership in Machine / Cabinet / Assembly / Polishing departments and where may occasionally fill in 'on the tools' if staff are absent or on leave

• Assist with OH&S Management; with an oversight on health and safety

• Ensure OH&S Policies and Procedures are always observed and ensure a safe working environment for self and others

• Be familiar with emergency procedures including fire and evacuation procedures

• Work to maintain the ISO9001 system which includes record keeping, compliance checks, internal audits, document control and updates, overall system improvements and achieving recertification in the annual external audit

• Work with the Victorian Operations Manager and Industrial Engineer to maintain and produce standard operating procedures and create manufacturing process plans to assist with ongoing governance and new staff inductions

• Involvement in various strategic and continuous improvement projects as they arise; which may include yet are not limited to automation upgrade projects, manufacturing and plant upgrades

• Provide Victorian Production assistance and planning; and if/when required manage the overall production flow along with delivery schedules

About you

• Experience and background in tertiary studies of a relevant field is required

• Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations

• Computer literacy

• ISO:9001 knowledge

• OH&S Compliance knowledge

• Forklift License

• Drivers License

• Good verbal and communication skills

• ESG Compliance knowledge
