Retail Assistant

About the role

We are a family operated secondhand shop in Adelaide's Western suburbs with over 40 years experience in the industry. We buy and sell a vast assortment of new and secondhand goods with a well established and loyal client base. We provide small loans on a daily basis to a variety of customers and pride ourselves on our customer service. We are looking for an experienced retail person to join our team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service and relate to customers from all levels with tact, grace and empathy

• Handle money with accuracy

• Complete a variety of tasks on a day to day basis including cleaning duties and merchandising

• Sell items on Gumtree, Facebook and Ebay

About you

• Experienced retail person

• Good computer literacy

• Great customer service skills

• Genuine ability to relate to customers from all levels

• Accuracy in money handling

• Excellent literacy skills

• Great communicator

• Experience with selling on Gumtree, Facebook and Ebay is an advantage

• Experience working in jewellery, fashion and pawnbroking is an advantage but not essential

• Police clearance certificate required once accepted
