Trainer and Assessor

About the role

IKON Services is looking for experienced trainers and assessors to support the standardisation and capability development of our people to ensure that the highest standard of cleaning is achieved. We are looking for trainers and assessors who share a passion for competency based learning, who are 'people' focussed and can share their expertise in both classroom, onsite and within simulated work settings to help shape the next generation of cleaning professionals. Whilst most of the training and assessment will occur during standard business hours, the trainers and assessors will need to provide flexibility to train and assess afternoon and night shift staff members on occasion.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate vocational education and training programs that are within the IKON Academy scope of registration.

• Deliver learning content using classroom, workplace, online, or blended learning methods.

• Adapt training to suit different learner needs and learning styles.

• Support student participation, engagement, and achievement.

• Assess learner competency against training package and unit of competency requirements.

• Use validated assessment tools and methods.

• Make fair, valid, reliable, and evidence-based assessment decisions.

• Provide constructive feedback and reassessment opportunities where required.

• Ensure training and assessment practices comply with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

• Follow RTO policies, procedures, and quality assurance requirements.

About you

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 (mandatory)

• Certificate III – Cleaning Operations CPP30321 and / or Certificate IV – Cleaning Supervisory CPP40421 (highly regarded)

• Experience in the commercial cleaning and / or hospitality industry
