About the role
Events and Promotion Administration Officer
Ref: 2026
Warrnambool City Council is seeking an organised and customer focused Administration Officer Events & Promotions to support the delivery of Warrnambool's vibrant annual events program.
The successful candidate will:
Provide administrative and customer service support to the Events & Promotions Unit, event organisers and stakeholders
Process purchase orders, invoices, grant documentation and event records
Assist with event delivery, contractor coordination and event logistics
Support event promotion through social media, newsletters, website content and marketing campaigns
Assist with maintaining event databases, calendars and reporting requirements
We are looking for someone with:
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Experience using Microsoft Office and business systems
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Event management experience is desirable but not essential
The Benefits
This is a temporary part time position working 0.63 FTE. (48 hours per fortnight) until 28 August 2027 (Must be available to work Monday & Friday). The current salary is $78,981.46 per annum (pro-rata) exclud. Superannuation.
