Job Statement

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Manager Heritage & Native Title to provide strategic leadership across Aboriginal heritage, native title, cultural heritage management and engagement.

This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to influence how heritage and native title considerations are embedded across our business – from exploration and project development through to operations and closure.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Land & External Relations, you will lead the Heritage & Native Title function, developing and implementing strategies, systems and governance frameworks that support responsible growth while protecting Aboriginal cultural heritage and strengthening relationships with Traditional Owners and key stakeholders.

You will work across the business, partnering with operational, technical, environmental, land management, legal and corporate teams to ensure heritage and native title obligations are understood, effectively managed and integrated into business planning and decision-making.

A significant part of the role will be building strong, respectful and enduring relationships with Traditional Owners, Knowledge Holders, Aboriginal groups, government agencies, consultants and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the Heritage & Native Title team, including team structure, resourcing and budget management.
• Develop and oversee company-wide heritage and native title strategies, systems, policies and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Western Australian and Commonwealth heritage and native title legislation, agreements and internal standards.
• Oversee heritage surveys, approvals and Cultural Heritage Management Plans across exploration, development, operations and closure.
• Manage the implementation and administration of Native Title, Mining and Heritage Agreements, including associated obligations, committees and activities.
• Lead the delivery of Genesis' Indigenous Engagement Plan, including initiatives supporting training, employment, contracting, community programs and cultural awareness.
• Maintain the company's heritage and native title risk framework, identifying emerging risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitor legislative, regulatory and policy developments and provide clear advice to senior leadership and operational teams.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owners, government agencies, NGOs, heritage consultants and other external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, training and support to site teams to strengthen cultural awareness and heritage and native title management practices.
• Oversee heritage datasets and spatial information to support effective planning and decision-making.
• Partner with Environment, Land Management, Legal and Sustainability teams to integrate heritage and native title considerations into broader business strategies and reporting.

About You

You are an experienced heritage and native title professional who can operate confidently at both a strategic and operational level. You understand the importance of getting the detail right while also seeing the bigger picture – supporting responsible development, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and enabling our operations to perform.

You will bring:

• 10+ years' experience in heritage and native title roles within mining, resources or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Western Australian and Commonwealth heritage and native title legislation and associated risk management principles.
• Proven experience working respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal communities and Traditional Owners in Western Australia.
• Strong negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience leading teams, managing budgets and delivering multiple priorities.
• A high level of integrity and a strong commitment to ethical practice, governance and cultural sensitivity.
• Experience with GIS and heritage data management systems.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Anthropology, Archaeology, Legal or a related discipline is advantageous.
• A current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
