About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to NDIS participants located in Gympie.

This role involves supporting participants with moderate to high support needs in a home and community setting. We are looking for team members who are patient, respectful and committed to promoting dignity, independence and quality of life.

You will provide person-centered care support tailored to the participants individual needs, goals and routines. Duties may include:

• Personal care and daily living assistance

• Manual handling and mobility support

• Assistance with meal preparation and medication prompts

• Emotional support and companionship

• Community access and transport to appointments

• Encouragement to engage in community activities and social participation

• Skill development and independence mentoring

• Following support plans and care routines

• Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation

What we’re looking for:

• Experience supporting participants with moderate to high support needs, complex care, behaviors of concern or mental health support

• Willing and competent to undertake personal care responsibilities

• A genuine passion for supporting people with a disability

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Availability to work longer shifts, including weekends (if required)

Essential qualifications and licences:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

• Qualification in Mental Health (desirable)

• National Police Certificate

• NDIS Worker Screening Card

• Working with Children Card

• Drivers’ licence and reliable insured vehicle

• First Aid & CPR qualification
