About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to NDIS participants located in Gympie.
This role involves supporting participants with moderate to high support needs in a home and community setting. We are looking for team members who are patient, respectful and committed to promoting dignity, independence and quality of life.
You will provide person-centered care support tailored to the participants individual needs, goals and routines. Duties may include:
Personal care and daily living assistance
Manual handling and mobility support
Assistance with meal preparation and medication prompts
Emotional support and companionship
Community access and transport to appointments
Encouragement to engage in community activities and social participation
Skill development and independence mentoring
Following support plans and care routines
Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
What we’re looking for:
Experience supporting participants with moderate to high support needs, complex care, behaviors of concern or mental health support
Willing and competent to undertake personal care responsibilities
A genuine passion for supporting people with a disability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to work longer shifts, including weekends (if required)
Essential qualifications and licences:
Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
Qualification in Mental Health (desirable)
National Police Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Card
Working with Children Card
Drivers’ licence and reliable insured vehicle
First Aid & CPR qualification
