About the role
We are seeking a Retail/Reception Assistant to join our team at Visual Q Eyecare in South Yarra, VIC 3141. This is a part-time role, offering 7-14 hours (1-2 days) of work per week, Monday - Friday. You must be able to work Mondays and Wednesdays.
Responsibilities
Reception: greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering queries in person, online, and over the phone, and processing sales
Optical Dispensing: assisting customers with glasses selection and performing minor repairs (training will be provided)
Cleaning: stock replenishment and general shop upkeep (cleaning frames, vacuuming, countertops)
Assisting: assisting the optometrist as required
What we're looking for
Genuinely passionate about building rapports with our longstanding patients and providing excellent customer service
Strong communication skills and telephone manner as much of your role will include answering customer queries
Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize tasks on busier days, but also an ability to keep yourself busy on slower days
Attention to detail and enjoy cleaning/tidying merchandise
Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
