Experienced Labourers, Riggers & Operators – Townsville - Immediate Start

Avionics Airfield Lighting Pty Ltd is a leading Australian contractor specialising in Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL), airport electrical systems and civil infrastructure. We are currently recruiting for an exciting project at Townsville Airport.

We are seeking experienced and motivated:

• Skilled Labourers with prior construction experience

• Excavator, Skid Steer & HR Truck Operators

• Riggers

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant airport infrastructure project with a highly respected specialist contractor.

About the role

Working within a collaborative project team, you will assist in delivering critical airport infrastructure works while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Civil construction works

• Trenching and underground services

• Installation of conduits, pits and cabling

• Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) installation

• Plant operation (where applicable)

• General labouring duties

• Following all site safety procedures and project requirements

About you

• Construction White Card

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

• Strong commitment to safety

• Reliable, hardworking and team-focused attitude

• Ability to work day and night shifts

• Applicants living locally to Townsville or surrounding areas (highly regarded)

• Previous airport construction or aviation industry experience (highly regarded)

• Civil construction experience (highly regarded)

• Relevant plant operating licences and experience (highly regarded)

• Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) experience (highly regarded)

Security Requirements

As the works will be carried out within a secure airport environment, successful applicants will be required to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). Applicants must be able to pass the required background and criminal history checks as part of the ASIC application process.
