About the role
Central Coast, NSW | Full-time | $29–$43 per hour plus applicable penalties, allowances and superannuation
If you are an experienced cleaner or team leader who wants greater responsibility, more variety and the opportunity to build a genuine management career, this could be your next step.
As Cleaning Excellence’s Central Coast Depot Manager, you will lead a local cleaning team while remaining involved in practical, hands-on work. You will have the opportunity to influence how the depot operates, develop your leadership skills and see the direct results of your work.
Full-time stability: A permanent, full-time position with approximately 38 hours of work each week.
Competitive pay: $29.45–$35.00 per hour, depending on your demonstrated experience and capability.
Additional entitlements: Applicable penalties and allowances, plus superannuation.
Paid management time: Approximately 25–30 hours will involve hands-on cleaning, with the remaining paid hours allocated to leadership, rostering, inspections and depot management.
A genuine leadership opportunity: Develop your skills in team supervision, quality management, rostering and day-to-day operations.
Training and support: Receive practical training in FreshOps, Cleaning Excellence systems and our depot procedures.
Variety: Combine cleaning, team support, client contact, problem-solving and operational management.
Direct support: Work closely with the Operations Manager and office team instead of managing the depot alone.
Modern systems and equipment: Use digital rostering, site-management tools and professional cleaning equipment.
Career potential: As Cleaning Excellence grows into new regions, there may be opportunities to progress into broader operational leadership positions.
Visible results: Take ownership of a depot where your organisation, decisions and leadership make a noticeable difference.
A respectful workplace: Join a family-owned company that values professionalism, integrity, accountability and people who take pride in their work.
Cleaning Excellence is a growing, family-owned commercial cleaning company servicing medical centres, offices, childcare centres and other commercial facilities.
Our goal is to raise the standard of the cleaning industry by delivering dependable service, maintaining high professional standards and supporting our people to perform at their best.
This is not simply a cleaning position. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to take responsibility for the performance of the Central Coast depot.
An excellent cleaner is responsible for their own work. A Depot Manager is responsible for the performance of the entire depot.
You will supervise and support approximately 10–20 cleaners while completing regular commercial cleaning work.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising, supporting and guiding team members
Preparing, checking and adjusting rosters
Responding to absences and helping arrange shift coverage
Using FreshOps to manage rosters, timekeeping and site information
Completing site inspections and following up quality concerns
Training and onboarding new employees
Monitoring cleaning standards and team performance
Managing depot stock, equipment and laundry
Communicating professionally with clients and team members
Completing reports and operational records on time
Identifying problems early and following them through to completion
Performing approximately 25–30 hours of commercial cleaning each week
The position may include early-morning and evening work to align with client cleaning schedules.
You are someone who enjoys taking ownership, helping others perform well and bringing order to a busy working environment.
You will need:
At least two years’ cleaning experience, preferably in commercial cleaning
Experience supervising, coordinating or supporting a team
Strong organisation and time-management skills
Confidence using email, tablets and digital systems
The willingness and ability to learn FreshOps
Professional written and verbal communication
The confidence to provide respectful, practical feedback
The ability to remain calm and make sensible decisions under pressure
High cleaning and presentation standards
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
A valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
The ability to work independently without repeated reminders
Your leadership experience may come from cleaning or another service-based industry. Training in Cleaning Excellence’s systems will be provided, but you must already be comfortable with technology, responsibility and supporting a team.
Please submit your resume with a short introduction telling us:
Why this opportunity appeals to you
Your cleaning and leadership experience
The size of any team you have supervised or coordinated
Your experience using rostering or workforce-management systems
An example of a workplace problem you took responsibility for and resolved
If you are ready to move beyond completing your own cleaning work and begin leading the performance of a team, we would like to hear from you.
