Campaign Administrative Support (Voluntary)

About the Role

Every successful campaign relies on people keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. We're looking for volunteers who can contribute their skills and time to support the operational and administrative needs of our grassroots campaign for the 2026 Victorian State Election.

Our candidate has been formally endorsed by Voices of Deakin. However, the campaign operates independently from Voices of Deakin, and will recruit, manage, and run its own team and strategy.

This is your chance to play a key role in a campaign that prioritises community voices over party politics – a campaign that sits at the heart of a grassroots movement built on listening, transparency, and authentic community engagement.

We're seeking people with skills across a range of areas. You might be interested in one or several – let us know what draws you.

• General assistance and calendar support for our Candidate and Campaign Director
• General support to the central campaign team across streams of work:

• Volunteer team, events and local outreach, fundraising etc.

• Logistical preparation / support for early voting and election day.
• Campaign inbox triage and co-ordination.
• General office support.
• Reception duties.

Skills and experience

We're looking for people who are enthusiastic, organised and reliable. Experience is not essential – if you’re keen to pitch in and willing to learn along the way we’d love to have you on the team!

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
• Self-motivated and time-flexible
• Commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and respectful political engagement

Commitment

This is a voluntary position. Hours and timing are flexible and can be tailored to your availability. Some work is suitable to be done remotely, but other tasks (such as reception duties) would be in the office.
