GP West Medical Group is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Medical Receptionists to join our teams at the following locations:

📍 Kenwick Medical Centre
📍 Carlisle Medical Centre
📍 Kalamunda Medical Centre

Three Separate Opportunities

We are recruiting for individual part-time positions at each of the above locations.

You can apply for the location that best suits your availability, experience and preferred work location. You will primarily be rostered at your selected Centre, rather than being required to work across all three locations.

About the Role

The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients, doctors and allied health providers. We are looking for friendly, professional and reliable team members who can work confidently in a busy medical practice environment.

Depending on your availability and the needs of the Centre, there may also be opportunities for additional hours to cover annual leave, sick leave and other staffing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing friendly and professional customer service.

• Answering and managing incoming patient phone calls and enquiries.

• Booking, rescheduling and cancelling appointments.

• Managing doctors' appointment books and schedules.

• Updating and maintaining accurate patient information.

• Processing Medicare claims and private billing.

• Processing payments and generating invoices.

• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and mail.

• Responding to doctors' and team members' requests in a timely manner.

• Maintaining patient confidentiality and following practice policies and procedures.

• Assisting with general administrative duties as required.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical reception role.

• Previous experience working in a GP or medical practice environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A friendly and professional telephone manner.

• Strong computer and administrative skills.

• The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Best Practice software experience is highly desirable.

• A professional, reliable and patient-focused approach.
