Corporate Accountant

Your opportunityAs a Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the integrity of the Group's financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and maintaining a strong control environment. Working as part of the Group Finance team, you will contribute to monthly, half-year and year-end reporting, group consolidations, statutory financial reporting, technical accounting analysis and audit coordination.Day-to-day you will:Assist with the half-year and year-end Trust consolidation processMaintain consolidation journals and reporting adjustmentsAssist in drafting half-year and annual financial statements and supporting disclosuresAssist in the preparation of Executive and Audit & Finance Committee reporting packsSupport the completion of half-year and year-end external reporting requirementsPrepare subsidiary/sub trust financial statementsPrepare half-yearly tax calculationsMonthly GL close including account reconciliations and preparation of adhoc reports & analysisExposure to capital transactions such as investment acquisitions or disposals, debt or equity raisingContribute to the review and improvement of processes

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes initiative and values working alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive team environment.Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance is required4+ years accounting experience, ideally gained in audit or a corporate accounting environment.CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards your CA/CPA qualificationNaturally curious, with an interest in technical accounting and keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality workA proactive approach, with the confidence to take initiative and contribute across a variety of tasks
