The Opportunity
As part of the Finance team within La Trobe Financial, your primary function will be to ensure transactions are processed and accounted for correctly, preparing daily banking and month end reconciliation and monthly KPI for management reporting. Additional elements to this role will be the ability to manage your workload and complete tasks within the required timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
To process cash and other journal transactions in the general ledger
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts to supporting schedules, including system reports
Investigation and clearance of Balance Sheet accounts that have timing differences
Complete end-to-end entity accounting, including reconciliations for a La Trobe Financial entity
Reconciliation and clearance of related party balances
Contribute towards the monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management reporting
Quarterly reporting and BAS submissions
Completion of year-end audit packs
About You
The successful applicant will hold 1 - 2 years accounting experience and have a good understanding of using Microsoft Excel. Additional skills and experience required include:

Completed Accounting/Commerce degree (or near completion)

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work both in a team and autonomously
A desire to undertake and obtain a CA/CPA qualification
