Full-Time | Commercial Construction & Fit-Out

Broz Contracting is seeking experienced Commercial Carpenters to join our team working across commercial construction and fit-out projects throughout Melbourne.

We are looking for skilled and reliable tradespeople with experience in light gauge steel framing, wall and ceiling systems, and commercial fit-out works.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of steel framing and associated commercial construction works, including:

• Installation of light gauge steel wall and ceiling framing

• Setting out and fixing steel studs, tracks and channels

• Installation of bulkheads, feature walls and framing systems

• Reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings

• Measuring, cutting and assembling steel framing components

• Installation of plasterboard, fibre cement and other sheet products

• Door frame and associated framing installation

• Working with suspended ceiling and ceiling framing systems

• General commercial carpentry and fit-out works

• Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Working to project specifications, drawings and manufacturer requirements

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area

• Working closely with supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Carpentry trade qualification or relevant construction experience

• Commercial construction and/or fit-out experience

• Experience working with steel framing / light gauge steel framing

• Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings

• Setting-out and measuring skills (desirable)

• Competence using hand and power tools

• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and time-management skills

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Current White Card

• Current EWP Licence

• Current driver's licence and a reliable mode of transport

• Supply your own basic tools
