About the role
This position is only open to applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent pursuant to Section 56 (2) of the Equal Opportunity Act, 1984.
As an Aboriginal Case Manager (AHP2), situated in Mount Barker, you will undertake exemplary case management services to fulfill the needs of children and young people. Working at a flexible, part-time capacity, the role will deliver targeted intervention to heighten positive outcomes for clientele. Adhering to statutory guidelines, you will ensure families are properly assisted in fortifying the stability and security of their children. These responsibilities are vital in strengthening DCP’s Practice Approach to inform sound case management and uphold cultural awareness.
Desirable Qualifications:
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).

AHP2: $94,997 - $110,052 + 12% super
+4% child protection allowance
+Regional financial incentive
+Professional Development Allowance
+Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.
AHP2 positions are also entitled to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses through the Professional Development Allowance.
