About the role
The Role
The Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Tester/Assistant Investigator position sits within the Investigations Section of the Legal Services Branch and reports to the AOD Team Leader.
The Investigations Team is responsible for the management, conduct and coordination of all aspects of CASA’s investigative activities under Part IIIA of the Civil Aviation Act 1988, fraud control, internal fraud investigations and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) testing of the Civil Aviation industry.
Melbourne is the preferred location for this position, other CASA locations may be considered. The position will operate under shift work arrangements in accordance with CASA’s Enterprise Agreement. Intrastate and interstate travel will be required.
This position is a safety sensitive position.
The incumbent may perform, or be available to perform, safety sensitive aviation activities, as defined in the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR).
The AOD Tester/Assistant Investigator position works under broad direction and is responsible for the specific deliverables outlined below, which represent an ongoing body of work:
