Teacher - Science

We are seeking to establish a pool of Science Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Aveley Secondary College (SC) opened in 2018 and is a large secondary school catering for students from Year 7 to 12 in Perth’s Swan Valley. The College is recognised as a school of choice, with high expectations and standards, a progressive approach and a commitment to excellence.

We are committed to excellence in teaching and learning, with Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) as our signature pedagogy, supported by a rigorous behaviour curriculum and systems designed to support conditions for learning in the classroom. The Role

Aveley SC is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teachers to join our collaborative Science team.

Suitable applicants will ideally be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs that engage students and support them to achieve their potential. Teachers appointed through this pool may have opportunities to teach across a range of year levels and courses, depending on the needs of the College.

We are seeking teachers who ideally:

• Build positive relationships with students and create inclusive and engaging learning environments.
• Show a commitment to our signature pedagogy of Explicit Direct Instruction.
• Use assessment and feedback to support student progress
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to develop and implement quality curriculum programs;

• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
