Social Media Manager & Video EditorWe’re looking for a Social Media Manager & Video Editor to manage, edit and publish content across iDlvr and Mohammed Ali Ayad’s personal brand. This is not just a basic video editing role. We need someone who understands social-first content, knows how to hold attention, can follow a creative brief, and can bring their own ideas to make content perform better. You’ll be responsible for taking raw footage and turning it into finished content ready to publish across all of our social platforms. The RoleYou will be responsible for editing approximately 12–18 videos per week and managing the publishing of that content across:TikTokInstagramLinkedInYouTube / YouTube ShortsSnapchatYou’ll work from briefs and direction provided by us, but we don't want someone who simply follows instructions mechanically. We want you to bring creativity, ideas and suggestions to the table. You should be constantly thinking:How can the first 3 seconds be stronger?Where will people lose interest? What visual could make this section better? Can we make this funnier? Can we make this easier to understand? What editing styles or trends could we test? How can we make the iDlvr brand more recognisable?Content StylesOur content isn't all supposed to look the same.We currently create:EducationalUseful content around construction, business, technology, AI, logistics and iDlvr.FunnySkits, relatable situations, tradie humour and entertaining content.RawLess polished, more natural content including behind-the-scenes, straight-to-camera videos, founder content and real moments from the business. We also want to introduce new editing and content styles so the feeds remain fresh. Before starting, you'll be expected to spend time reviewing our existing iDlvr and personal social media profiles to understand our current style, brand, humour and direction.Editing ReferencesPlease review these accounts carefully to understand the direction we want to explore:Sadek Medlejhttps://www.instagram.com/sadekmedlej/reel/DWntQwAEjpM/Adam Sullohttps://www.instagram.com/adam_sullo/Burger Cartelhttps://www.instagram.com/burger.cartel/We don't want these copied exactly. They are references for pacing, storytelling, hooks, visual elements, personality and editing style. We want someone who can understand what works about these styles and adapt those ideas to iDlvr and our personal brand.Editing RequirementsVideo LengthUnless otherwise briefed, videos should be under 90 seconds. The edit should move quickly and remove unnecessary pauses, repetition or dead space.HooksHooks are extremely important. For our supplier-to-site videos, the opening hook should be built around:“From supplier to site in X mins.”This should be treated as a strong opening visual and used to immediately establish what is happening.TimestampsSupplier-to-site videos should include timestamps throughout the video so viewers can follow the journey. For example:10:07 AM — Order Placed10:14 AM — Driver Assigned10:26 AM — Supplier Pickup10:41 AM — On the Road10:58 AM — Job SiteThe timestamps should feel like part of the edit rather than basic captions.iDlvr Branding RulesThere are several words we intentionally spell differently as part of the iDlvr brand.Whenever these words are spoken or displayed, use:Delivery → DlvryDeliver → DlvrI deliver → iDlvrDelivered → DlvrdDeliveries → DlvriesWhere possible, do not simply type these words as normal captions. We want them recreated or treated using the actual iDlvr logo/brand style, so they become recognisable visual brand elements that repeatedly appear throughout our content.Visual EditingWe don't want videos that are simply footage with subtitles. The visual edit should support what is actually being discussed. For example:If a product is mentioned, show an icon, image or cutaway of that product where appropriate. If a brand/company is mentioned, show the actual brand logo where appropriate. If a location is mentioned, consider maps/location graphics. If a number or statistic is important, visually emphasise it.If we're talking about something happening inside the iDlvr platform, show relevant app/platform footage.Use screenshots, graphics, zooms, overlays, B-roll and other visual elements where they improve the story. The objective is to keep the viewer visually engaged without over-editing everything. Some videos should be highly edited. Some should feel raw.Understanding the difference is important.Social Media ManagementThis role also includes publishing and managing the content. You will be responsible for:Posting approved content across all platforms.Formatting videos appropriately for each platform.Writing or adapting captions where required.Adding appropriate hashtags, titles and descriptions.Selecting thumbnails/covers where required.Making sure tags and mentions are correct.Scheduling content.Keeping posting consistent.Maintaining an organised content calendar.Keeping track of what has been posted and where.Identifying content that could be repurposed across platforms. You should also keep an eye on what is currently working on social media and suggest trends, formats, hooks or editing styles we should test. What We're Looking ForWe want someone who:Has strong short-form video editing experience.Understands TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Snapchat and LinkedIn content. Can comfortably produce 12–18 quality videos every week.Understands hooks, pacing and retention.Has strong attention to detail. Can follow a brief without needing every detail explained. Can manage multiple pieces of content simultaneously.Understands branding and consistency. Can bring their own creative ideas. Is comfortable giving feedback and suggesting better ways of doing things.Understands that different platforms require slightly different approaches. Can work quickly without sacrificing quality. Is organised and reliable.Experience with construction, tradie, founder-led or business content would be a bonus, but isn't essential. What Success Looks LikeWe don't want someone whose only job is to “edit 15 videos.”We want someone who gradually becomes responsible for making sure our social media content machine runs properly. That means:Raw footage → Edit → Review → Approval → Publish → Repurpose → Track performance → Improve the next editThe goal is to consistently produce content that is recognisable, entertaining, useful and native to each platform, while building both the iDlvr brand and personal brand. If you're applying, please review the reference accounts and our existing social profiles first. When applying, send through:Examples of short-form videos you've edited.Social accounts you've previously managed. The editing software you use.Your weekly availability.Your expected rate.A brief explanation of what you would improve or experiment with after reviewing our existing content. We're happy for you to bring ideas and challenge the brief when you believe there is a better creative approach.
