They've recently brought their product development capability in-house to keep pace with that growth, and are investing seriously in modernising the engineering behind it. It's a business with real scale and a long track record, now moving with the pace and appetite for change of a much younger tech team.
About the roleYou'll be a senior voice on a small, close knit engineering team, working across a mix of legacy modernisation and new platform build. Expect to be migrating services off older infrastructure onto modern cloud architecture, while helping shape the standards the rest of the team works to. AI assisted development, using tools like Claude Code, is a genuine part of how this team ships, not a bolt on, and you'll help set the bar for using it well: accelerating delivery while knowing exactly what needs scrutiny before it goes live. You'll get exposure to the full spectrum, backend services, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and observability, with plenty of room to influence architecture decisions rather than just execute someone else's.
What we're looking for10+ years hands on backend development in .NET, strong C# and SQL Server fundamentalsExperience modernising legacy systems and working with AWS or similar cloud platformsComfortable building and securing REST APIs, including integrations with third party systemsFrontend capability, ideally Next.jsReal, practical experience working with AI coding assistants, with the judgement to verify what they produceSomeone with strong opinions built from experience, who holds them loosely and works well with a team
