1. Client DescriptionOur client is a global leader in water and waste management, renowned for driving innovation in environmental services and sustainable resource recovery. Operating critical water utilities and advanced process plants worldwide, they are dedicated to ecological transition, safety, and operational excellence. They are currently gearing up for a major facility turnaround in Western Australia, offering a high-impact environment for technical professionals who want to contribute to vital environmental infrastructure.
2. ScopeWe are seeking an experienced AIC Engineer for an 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract based locally in Perth, WA. This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start (within the next 4 weeks). In this role, you will work directly alongside the Senior E&I Shutdown Lead, providing critical technical support and engineering expertise to ensure the seamless execution of a massive upcoming turnaround.
3. Key ResponsibilitiesShutdown Support: Partner closely with the Senior E&I Shutdown Lead to plan, coordinate, and execute automation and instrumentation scopes for the upcoming turnaround.Systems Integration: Support industrial control systems, process automation, and systems integration across the water utility and process facility.Technical Troubleshooting: Manage PLC/SCADA systems, overseeing loop tuning, instrumentation calibration, and complex fault-finding.Network Management: Ensure the reliability, integrity, and security of industrial data networks during critical operational and shutdown phases.Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to heavy industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational protocols.
4. Qualifications & CriteriaLocation: Must be currently based in Perth, WA with full working rights.Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in industrial control systems, process automation, and systems integration.Technical Mastery: Strong, hands-on knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, loop tuning, instrumentation calibration, and industrial data networks.Industry Background: Solid experience working within water utilities, process plants, or heavy industry environments.Availability: Ability to start urgently within the next 4 weeks.
