About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team at Bundamba Community, Pharmacy, Queensland. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in providing excellent pharmaceutical care and services to our community. As a Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of patient health and safety, ensuring that all medications are dispensed correctly and that patients receive expert advice on their pharmaceutical needs. This role is essential to our mission of delivering quality healthcare services to our local community.
Key responsibilities
Dispense medications accurately and safely in accordance with prescriptions and pharmaceutical regulations
Provide professional advice to patients regarding medication use, dosage, side effects and potential drug interactions
Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to optimise patient therapy outcomes
Maintain accurate pharmaceutical records and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and professional standards
Manage inventory and ordering of pharmaceutical stock, ensuring adequate supply and minimising wastage
Collaborate with healthcare professionals including doctors and nurses to ensure optimal patient care
Perform quality assurance checks on all medications prior to dispensing
Provide health promotion and disease prevention advice to patients
Monitor patient adherence to medication regimens and follow up on any concerns
Keep up to date with current pharmaceutical knowledge and industry developments
What we're looking for
Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all pharmaceutical duties
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
Knowledge of pharmacy practice standards, legislation and regulations applicable in Australia
Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and computer software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Preferred experience in community pharmacy or hospital pharmacy settings
