General Mill Worker - Roller Arcer

We are currently seeking applications for a GMW (Roller Arcer) to join the team at Kalamia Mill in the Burdekin Region. This is a seasonal position in our sugar processing factory following a day work roster pattern and may require some weekend work and overtime.

The GMW (Roller Archer) position is responsible for performing routine gas metal arc welding applying hard facing to our sugar mill roller teeth.

Primary responsibilities:

• Apply hard facing welding electrodes to mill roller teeth.
• Communication with crushing console and operations team to target correct rollers for hard facing.
• Use and maintain an automated welding machine as required by the team.
• Assisting in the maintenance of plant, equipment and factory facilities.
• Documenting processes and maintaining quality principles and standards.
• Display a consistent commitment to a high standard of housekeeping.
• Ability to work safely and be aware of the safety of others.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Prior welding competencies/trade certificate
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• or willingness to attain these competencies.
