About the Role:

Based at our recently redeveloped Laverton facility, this newly created role will be crucial to the success of our Scrap Metal processing site. As the on-site Welder you will handle all welding requirements to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in site management and HSEQ outcomes.

The role will be afternoon shift (approximate 3pm start time) with overtime and weekend work available.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

• Mig welding, Arc welding and Hard facing

• Welding and general fabrication

• Maintenance of conveyors and plant

• Repairs to heavy equipment  

• Ad hoc duties as required

• Ensure high standards of HSEQ are maintained at the site at all times

• Direct reporting to the Site Manager

To be successful for this position: 

• Australian Trade Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or similar

• Experience operating mobile plant & equipment (eg Forklift Licence)

• Able to read plans and drawings

• White card

• Quarry or industrial plant experience

• The ability to work within a team

• MUST be able to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol testing
