Direct Care Worker - Casual

• Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, Orroroo Hospital and Health Service
• Salary $32.90 - $34.80 per hour + 25% casual loading - WHD3
• Casual contracts until April 2027 - multiple casual contracts available

As a Direct Care Worker working on a casual basis, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.  Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort, well-being, and dignity of those in our care.  

Duties may include:

• Supporting personal care, hygiene, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers
• Assisting with glasses, hearing aids, and self-administration of medication
• Helping with routine treatments and special needs
• Distributing clean laundry and attire, and maintaining equipment and personal items
• Providing transportation for clients

About you:

• Ability to work effectively within teams and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds
• Competence in general tasks under supervision while maintaining confidentiality
• Willingness to support elderly, frail, or disabled individuals; on-the-job training provided
