Role:
As a member of the senior management team the HSEQ Manager will report to the Managing Director and play a pivotal role in maintaining and development of The Electrical Co. Australia's Integated Management System (IMS). You'll also facilitate management and staff in maintaining company certifications, leading the internal audit initiative. Drawing on your substantial experience and operational acumen, you'll oversee, evaluate, advise, and execute enhancements for the company's Intergrated Management System.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate the development of operational documents such as Project Management Plans, SWMS and Inspection and Test Plans as required.
Build and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure communication and collaboration processes are fully integrated into all levels of the business, including access to electronic systems and data bases as required.
Ensure hazard and incident reporting is properly managed and risk registers are maintained up to date.
Facilitate incident investigation, analysis and corrective action closeout.
Establish processes to monitor information published by industry bodies and government for changes/developments that may impact the companys operations and distribute such information to stakeholders as required.
Develop and actively participate in assurance programs.
Collate, analyse and report HSEQ performance data.
Maintain system documents and records securely.
Manage the company's ISO Certification.
Actively explore opportunities to improve system effectiveness and efficiency and workforce participation.
Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of Certificate IV in WHS.
Significant experience in HSEQ management in a contractor/sub-contractor environment.
Proven adeptness in interpreting legislation, regulatory standards, codes of practice, and internationally recognised HSEQ standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
Demonstrated track record of instigating impactful HSE changes in team culture aligned with the organisation's strategic direction.
Proven ability to drive organisational change, adapting strategies, goals, and priorities to cultivate health, safety, and environmental culture transformation.
Lead Auditor qualification in OH&S Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and/or Quality Management Systems.
Incident investigation qualifications, e.g., ICAM.
