About the role

Due to continued growth within our procurement consulting practice, we are seeking an experienced Lead Consultant to join our team and deliver complex procurement transformation programs that create measurable business outcomes for leading organisations.

As a Lead Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping client solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, developing recommendations, and leading project teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

You will work closely with senior client stakeholders across procurement strategy, operating model transformation, strategic sourcing, cost optimisation and procurement capability uplift initiatives.

Role responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement transformation engagements, from problem definition through to implementation.
• Develop procurement strategies, operating models and transformation roadmaps aligned to client objectives.
• Analyse spend data, contracts and procurement processes to identify value creation opportunities.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations and cost optimisation programs.
• Build trusted client relationships and partner with senior stakeholders to enable effective decision-making and sustainable change.
• Lead project teams, coach and support junior consultants, and ensure high-quality delivery outcomes.
• Develop compelling business cases, recommendations and executive presentations.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, client presentations and account growth.Contribute to the growth and capability development of Argon & Co’s procurement practice through knowledge sharing, mentoring and business development activities.

These roles require a willingness to travel across Australia.

About you

We are looking for an experienced professional who combines consulting capability, strategic thinking and strong client leadership. You will ideally have:

• 5+ years of consulting and/or industry experience delivering complex procurement, supply chain or operations transformation initiatives, with a track record of managing client engagements and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Proven capability leading procurement transformation, strategic sourcing or cost optimisation programs.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior client stakeholders and communicate recommendations effectively.
• Commercial acumen, with the ability to identify value opportunities, manage project scope and deliver outcomes aligned to client objectives.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, including strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management and contract optimisation.
• Experience leading and mentoring project teams.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Business, Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
