About the role
Due to a valued team member moving on, we are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our small and established team.
This is a permanent, full-time position focused predominantly on service, maintenance, fault-finding and the replacement of existing equipment rather than construction or large project work.
Our work is primarily carried out across high-rise residential and commercial buildings throughout the Sydney metropolitan area. The successful applicant will work on a broad range of equipment, including:
Water-cooled packaged air-conditioning systems
Split and ducted systems
Air-cooled package units
Chillers and associated pumps
Cooling towers and condenser-water systems
Mechanical ventilation and smoke-control systems
Variable-speed drives and basic control systems
The role will include:
Routine preventative maintenance
Breakdown diagnosis and repairs
Electrical and refrigeration fault-finding
Replacement of existing air-conditioning and HVAC equipment
Disconnecting and removing redundant equipment
Installing, commissioning and testing replacement equipment
Identifying defects and recommending repairs
Completing clear and accurate service reports
Communicating professionally with building managers, strata representatives and occupants
Working independently while receiving support from our office and technical team
The ideal applicant will have:
Relevant Australian air-conditioning and refrigeration qualifications
A current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
A current NSW driver licence
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
Good electrical knowledge
Experience servicing, repairing and replacing commercial or high-rise residential HVAC equipment
Good communication and customer-service skills
The ability to manage their workload and complete service documentation properly
A reliable, practical and professional attitude
An electrical licence or additional controls experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.
What we offer:
Permanent, full-time employment
Competitive wages based on experience and ability
Company vehicle
Company phone and uniforms
Overtime opportunities where available
Varied service, maintenance and equipment-replacement work
Support from an experienced and approachable team
A stable position with an established Sydney HVAC company
Further training and development for the right person
We are a close-knit company that values quality workmanship, reliability and looking after our customers. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work and wants to become a long-term part of the team.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply with your résumé and a brief introduction outlining your experience.
All applications will be treated confidentially.
