About the role

SIPS is a serious brunch kitchen with Mediterranean roots, bringing Mediterranean flavours and techniques together with modern Australian brunch culture. We are hiring multiple Café Chefs to join our opening kitchen team at our new Sippy Downs venue. We care deeply about food that is honest, seasonal and executed with precision, while creating a kitchen environment that is respectful, organised and supportive. At SIPS, brunch is restaurant-standard service where technique, timing, consistency and attention to detail matter on every plate and throughout every service.

Key responsibilities

• Execute restaurant-standard brunch service with precision and consistency
• Work confidently and respectfully within a busy kitchen during high-volume service
• Maintain clean, organised and disciplined work standards
• Remain calm, sharp and focused during service
• Uphold consistency, technique and timing across all plates
• Support and collaborate with kitchen team members
• Contribute to a strong kitchen culture built around discipline, respect and teamwork

• Genuinely passionate about cooking and hospitality
• Takes pride in clean, organised and disciplined work
• Works confidently and respectfully within a busy kitchen
• Can remain calm, sharp and focused during high-volume service
• Values consistency, technique and timing
• Reliable and comfortable with early starts and weekend service
• Wants to learn, develop and contribute to a strong kitchen culture
• Enjoys working collaboratively and supporting the people around them
• Experience with Mediterranean cuisine, modern Australian brunch or high-volume breakfast service is highly valued
• For experienced candidates: demonstrated leadership, food-safety knowledge, section management and the ability to maintain standards during busy service will be highly regarded
