Join TotalEnergies, a leading global integrated energy company committed to providing reliable, affordable and sustainable energy. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax & Treasury Accountant to support our Australian operations and contribute to a high-performing Finance team.
Reporting to the Country Head of Tax & Treasury, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across both taxation and treasury in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
About the Role
This role plays a key part in ensuring strong financial governance across tax and treasury operations. You will be involved in tax reporting, compliance, treasury activities, financial forecasting, risk management and stakeholder engagement across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing tax effect accounting calculations, tax forecasts and financial reporting
Supporting corporate income tax, GST, PRRT, payroll tax, FBT and other taxation compliance obligations
Assisting with employee taxation matters, expatriate tax compliance and employee share schemes
Managing cash flow forecasting, bank account administration and treasury operations
Coordinating funding activities, guarantees and foreign exchange support
Supporting audits, tax authority reviews and regulatory reporting requirements
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external advisers, financial institutions and government authorities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Taxation or a related discipline
CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent)
A minimum of 3 years' experience in taxation, treasury or a related finance role
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and tax effect accounting
Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Highly Regarded
Experience in the energy, resources, infrastructure or other capital-intensive industries
Exposure to PRRT, state royalties, trusts, tax consolidation or cross-border financing
SAP experience
Experience with Power BI, Power Automate or financial modelling tools
Exposure to treasury systems, banking platforms and foreign exchange environments
French language skills.
