Responsibilities
Greenslopes Private Hospital is seeking a versatile, experienced and qualified Electrician to join our Property Services team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with a supportive and respected team, and hold the following responsibilities:
MATV system maintenance, communications and data installationCabling and maintenance of electrical frameworksEnsure all assigned electrical tasks are carried out as requiredMaintain a safe and effective work environment that complies with legislative standards, policy guidelinesEnsure all work carried out is within approved hospital budgets
This position will require you to become part of the hospital’s on-call breakdown team, participating in the on-call roster as required.
About You
Working autonomously and with a team of tradesmen, your effective interpersonal and communication skills will assist you in providing exceptional customer service. Furthermore, your ability to plan, coordinate and prioritise multiple tasks will see you succeed in this role.
Your Skills And Experience
QLD Electrical and open cabling licence essentialPossess or demonstrate an ability to obtain a sound knowledge of Australian Standards pertaining to electrical installations and hospitalsPrevious experience with electrical systems in a hospital or similar sitePrevious experience with power generation systemsDemonstrated ability to install, program and maintain PLC systems such as Nurse Call, Access Control Systems and Building Management Systems (BMS)Previous experience with and maintenance of MATV systemsPrevious experience with HVAC (desirable)
