Component Rebuilds Mechanic - Engines

The Workshop undertakes a range of tasks to manage Macmahon's fleet of equipment, as well as maintenance projects for external clients. The workshop is undercover and houses the rebuild workshop, quarantine, sandblast and paint shop, component workshop and warehouse store.

Our maintenance teams take pride in keeping our sites operating safely and efficiently. You'll work with skilled people, who look out for each other and take pride in doing the job right. Together, we keep our fleet safe and reliable.

About the Role

You'll carry out component rebuilds on CAT engines. You'll work alongside experienced teammates who share knowledge and support each other to get the job done safely and efficiently.

Role Details and Benefits

• Location: Perth Airport, WA (residential)
• Roster: Mondays - Fridays OR Alternative (with 7 Night Shift every 4 weeks) - you choose!
• Rate: depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Component rebuilds on CAT engines; strip, clean & assemble
• Complete servicing to OEM standards and site procedures
• Support strong equipment availability and safe, reliable performance
• Speak-up and contribute to our culture; everyone home safe, every swing
• Work closely with production and planning teams to schedule work

What You'll Bring

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Cert III in Mobile Plant)
• High Risk Licence - LF (essential)
• High Risk Licence - DG (Advantageous)
• Proven experience working on Earthmoving Equipment
• Experience with Caterpillar Systems (ET, SIS, VIMS)
• Ability to work as part of a team and step up when needed
• Commitment to safe work practices and job quality
• Current unrestricted C Class MANUAL Australian Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
