Warehouse Assistant

Capital Tiles & Flooring is looking for a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Mitchell.

This is an entry-level, hands-on position suitable for someone who is willing to learn, takes pride in keeping their workplace clean and organised, and enjoys working as part of a team.

You will work closely with our Warehouse Manager and Showroom Team, helping with day-to-day warehouse operations, stock handling, showroom support and general workplace organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations.
• Loading and unloading tiles, flooring, carpet and other building products.
• Moving and organising stock within the warehouse.
• Preparing customer and job orders for collection or delivery.
• Assisting with stock counts and maintaining accurate stock locations.
• Keeping warehouse aisles, storage areas and loading areas clean and organised.
• Assisting with deliveries and collections when required.
• Safely handling heavy and bulky products.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures.
• Reporting damaged products, stock issues or safety hazards to the Warehouse Manager.

Cleaning & Workplace Presentation

• Daily cleaning and general upkeep of the warehouse.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the showroom, including floors, displays and common areas.
• Cleaning and maintaining staff areas, kitchen and lunchroom.
• Cleaning and maintaining restrooms.
• Emptying bins and managing general workplace waste.
• Keeping the workplace presentable and organised throughout the day.
• Assisting with showroom displays and general presentation when required.

Showroom Support

• Assist the showroom team with moving samples, tiles, flooring and displays.
• Help customers with loading and collection of products when required.
• Keep product samples and display areas organised.
• Assist with showroom setup and changes.
• Help the sales team with general non-sales tasks.

Other Duties

As an entry-level team member, you will be expected to assist with general duties across the business when required, including:

• Basic stock and product labelling.
• Packaging and preparing products.
• General maintenance and tidying.
• Assisting with stocktake.
• Helping with showroom events and promotional activities.
• Assisting other team members during busy periods.
• Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager or management.
