Painter / Blaster | Sino Iron

PPS Servicing has proven experience and capabilities in mining industry with maintenance, construction, engineering design, fabrication and installation of industrial facilities.

Due to the recent award of a major long-term contract, we are expanding our workforce and seeking talented individuals to join our team. This new contract provides ongoing opportunities across multiple positions and offers the stability of long-term project work within a well-established and growing organisation

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / Blaster to join our growing team at the Sino Iron Project.

Roster: 2:1 (Dayshift only)
Location: Sino Iron Ore, Cape Preston (FIFO from Perth)
Employment Type: Full-time

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and protective coating application across fixed plant and associated infrastructure, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard. You will work closely within the projects team to support ongoing operational requirements, while adhering to site safety procedures and quality standards. As part of a versatile workforce, you may also be required to assist with general maintenance and Trade Assistant duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of site operations.

To be eligible for the role you must possess the following:

• Proven experience working in complex environments

• A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices

• Ability to work effectively as part of an extended team

• Capacity to work safely at heights and in confined spaces

• Ability to work in extreme heat & unsupervised when required

• Minimum 1-2 years of industrial blasting and painting experience in a heavy industry/mining environment

Qualifications / Certificates:

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (essential)

• Construction White Card

• Valid Australian Driver's Licence

• Current Working at Heights & Confined Spaces certificates

• Current EWP / HRWL - WP

• Proof of right to work in Australia

Applicants will be required to:

• Undertake and pass a Pre-Employment Medical and D&A Test before commencement.

• Willing to be clean-shaven for the use of P2 Respirators.
