About Glenelg Day Surgery
Established for over 25 years, Glenelg Day Surgery has provided a consistently high level of care to patients both within the local community and wider Adelaide area, to be cared for by our highly skilled and friendly team of healthcare professionals.
In 2019 we moved to a purpose-built day surgery in the heart of sunny Glenelg, which has kept the architectural heritage whilst adhering to the very latest in hospital design standards and infection control guidelines. Our hand-picked staff care for our patients in a professional and personalised manner, putting GDS consistently above benchmark for patient, staff and clinician satisfaction.
Glenelg Day Surgery offers multiple surgical services, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Skin cancer Surgery, Ophthalmology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Vascular, Urology and Assisted Reproductive Procedures.
In July 2022 we proudly became a part of Cura Day Hospitals Group.
We are seeking experienced Administration Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Performing opening/ closing duties of the facility
• Maintaining positive interactions with patients, carers, VMOs and specialist rooms
• Liaising with Private Health Funds regarding patient eligibility
• Processing payments via EFTPOS and handling billing information
• Accurate and timely preparation of theatre list and patient medical charts
• Admission/ Discharge of patients through FYDO Software
• Ordering of general office supplies
• Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanour
• Medical record management to ensure legislative requirements are met
Experience and Key Skills Required:
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• The ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle anything that comes your way.
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Experience in FYDO preferable, but not necessary
• Available to work shifts between 06:00am and 6:00pm Mon-Fri.
• A high regard for confidentiality of information
• Working with Children Certificate or ability to gain same
