Chef - Authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine

Location: PAKENHAM, VIC

Salary: $80,001 - $100,000

Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position

• Prepare and cook authentic Sri Lankan dishes including rice & curry, kottu, hoppers, string hoppers, sambols, and traditional sweets.
• Design and update menus to reflect seasonal availability and customer feedback.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff where necessary.
• Source or suggest authentic Sri Lankan ingredients and suppliers.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef specialising in Sri Lankan cuisine.
• Strong understanding of Sri Lankan dishes and ingredients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Relevant culinary qualification preferred but not mandatory.
• English proficiency.
