About the role
The Company:
Dana Australia supplies power conveyance and energy management solutions for the Commercial Vehicle, Aftermarket, Electrification and Light Vehicle markets.
Following continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team in a full-time, office-based role.
The Role
As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Material Planner is responsible for overseeing activities associated with ensuring availability of components in line with production requirements and customer demand for a nominated list of Suppliers.
Key responsibilities include:
Timely creation and management of purchase orders based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) output or as required to ensure supply continuity
Monitoring, follow up & updating of open purchase orders by liaising with suppliers to ensure on time delivery & resolving supply disruptions
Coordinate with suppliers on critical part deliveries, ensuring that recovery plans are provided to mitigate supply risks
Follow up and close out of any shipping discrepancies as notified by Warehouse
Liaise with Freight Providers regarding collection, shipping details and delivery of goods
Maintain accurate records for Item Data within ERP system
Monitor / Maintain inventory levels in accordance with policies and procedures
Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations
The successful candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
Bachelor or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
Experience in material planning or inventory control within a manufacturing environment
Material Planning experience for 5+ years
Working knowledge of SAP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Experience working with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and reporting accuracy
