Commercial Estimator / Assessor - Insurance Repairs, Gold Coast

Scope it right, price it right, keep the pipeline moving.

We're looking for a Commercial Estimator / Assessor to scope and price commercial insurance repair claims across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, covering strata, retail, offices, warehouses and industrial sites. Fire, water, storm and impact damage, from first inspection through to an accurate, defensible scope of works.

You're the technical link between the site and the claim. You inspect, you scope, you price, and you make the case for the works with insurers, loss adjusters and stakeholders who trust your numbers.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting site inspections and assessing commercial insurance claims

• Scoping and pricing accurate, defensible cost estimates

• Preparing scopes of works and supporting claim documentation

• Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, building owners and tenants on scope and cost

• Coordinating with subcontractors and trade teams to validate pricing

• Ensuring estimates meet claim KPIs for timeliness, accuracy and cost

• Maintaining documentation in construction management software

About you

• Previous experience in the commercial insurance building sector

• Trade background, Carpentry preferred

• Existing relationships with insurers, loss adjusters and stakeholders preferable

• Strong estimating and scoping skills, with attention to detail on cost accuracy

• Confidence assessing works in occupied and trading premises

• Strong communication skills

• White Card and current Driver's Licence
