If you've got your Blue Slip and Pink Slip authorisation and a genuine knack for diagnostics, John Dale Motors is where that skill gets put to work - and recognised for it.

You'll report to our Workshop Controller and own your bay: diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and servicing, and completing Blue Slip and Pink Slip inspections as required. This is a hands-on role for someone who'd rather be under the bonnet solving the hard fault than watching someone else do it.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues across engine, transmission, electrical, and other systems

• Carrying out routine servicing - oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections, and more on a large variety of vehicles

• Completing Blue Slip and Pink Slip inspections as required

• Using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to get to the real fault, first time

• Keeping your bay safe, clean, and compliant

• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings

• Working alongside the Workshop Controller and team to keep jobs moving on time

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

• Blue Slip and Pink Slip authorisation - essential

• Proven diagnostic skills - this role is built around getting the fault right, not just replacing parts

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through on quality

• Good communication skills - with your team and, when needed, customers

• Comfort with workshop management software and diagnostic computer systems

• Valid driver's licence
