St Mark’s Anglican Community School (St Mark’s) opened in 1986 and is the foundation school of AngliSchools. As a Kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican school, St Mark’s provides a high quality, inclusive, caring education grounded in the Anglican tradition.

The Technical Officer (Level 4) reports to the Network Manager and supports the delivery, security and sustainability of the School’s ICT systems, platforms and end-user environments.
The role is responsible for the supervision, support and optimisation of systems and devices, excluding core network infrastructure, ensuring services are reliable, secure and aligned with the School’s operational and educational needs.

Responsibilities
Digital governance and operational accountability
Child safety and safeguarding
Data protection, privacy and ethical technology use
Ensure systems and practices align with School policies and AngliSchools expectations
Support secure handling of student, staff and community data
Maintain professional, ethical and responsible use of technology
Contribute to safe, inclusive and well-managed digital environments
Systems
Process and maintain the School’s core systems and services
Maintain system integrity, performance and availability
Configure and manage permissions, policies and system settings
Contribute to system documentation and standard operating procedures
Device and Endpoint Management
Manage deployment, configuration and lifecycle
Service device management platforms
Ensure effective integration between Apple devices and Microsoft identity systems
Maintain device compliance
Applications and Platform Support
Support and process key school platforms
Assist in system configuration, upgrades and testing
Liaise with vendors to resolve issues and improve service delivery
Ensure appropriate access, data integrity and secure configuration of systems
Cybersecurity and Data Protection
Implement and maintain security controls across systems
Assist in maintaining and validating backup processes
Monitor systems for potential risks and escalate to the Network Manager
Support compliance with School policies
ICT Service Delivery
Provide Level 2–3 ICT support to staff and students
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across systems, devices and applications
Support ICT helpdesk operations
Deliver responsive, professional and user-focused ICT services
Applicants must demonstrate:
Relevant tertiary, TAFE or equivalent ICT qualifications
Experience working in a Microsoft-based environment
Demonstrated knowledge of Apple environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
High-level communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic school environment
