Fruit Shop, Grocery Manager

The Food Forum is a locally owned, busy fresh produce store / butcher trading 7 days a week in the Belconnen, Westfield shopping centre.

We are currently seeking an experienced Fruit & Vege/ grocery manager / store manager to join our team.

Duties for this role include:

• Managing staff: including managing staff rosters, hiring of new staff, training, providing leadership and influencing staff culture and lastly maintaining moral in the workforce.

• Quality control: Ensuring that a high standard of quality is maintained across all departments, at all times in the store.

• Stock Management: ensuring all stock is rotated, handled, merchandised and stored correctly

• Ordering: Ordering and maintaining correct stock levels across all departments

• Customer service: Maintaining a great level or customer service for every person that enters the store

• Minimizing Shrinkage and wastage throughout the store

• Ensuring Food safety and WHS guidelines are met at all times

Successful applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be able to work well in a team environment

• Keep calm under pressure

• Have a strong focus on customer service

• Maintain a high quality of work in retail and wholesale

• Diligently follow company procedures

• 5am start

• Weekend work

Minimum 2 years experience required in a management position or high level supermarket position!

Bonus points for extended knowledge of Meat department and/or Fruit and Vege
