Transport Coordinator

The role

As a Transport Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in optimising the operations of our dynamic manufacturing business. In a fast paced multi drop, multi task environment, you will be responsible for coordinating materials for our customer deliveries and adapt plans dynamically to meet changing customer needs. Reinforcing or Building Industry experience highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

1. Liaise with production, sales, and customer service teams to understand transportation requirements and priorities.

2. Manage transportation resources, including trucks, drivers, loaders and delivery routes, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products

3. Drive compliance and a Safe work environment for all crew

4. Monitor real-time transportation and delivery activities, and make adjustments as needed to address any disruptions or delays

5. Maintain accurate documentation including sales orders, manifests and compliance records.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a transport coordination or logistics planning role, Reinforcing steel or building industry experience highly regarded.

2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise transportation plans and respond effectively to changes

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.

4. Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety requirements, and best practices

5. Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
