Qualified Assistant Cert 3 & Trainee position

About the role

Byrneville House Childcare Centre is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Cert 3 Qualified Assistant & Trainee Assistant. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and engaging educational experiences for children aged 1 to 5 years old. This role is based in our Bundamba, QLD 4304 location.

What you'll be doing

1. Actively engaging with children through play-based learning activities that support their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development

2. Providing a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow

3. Assisting with the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational programs

4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required

5. Collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child

6. Continuously improving your skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development

What we're looking for

1. A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or willing to study

2. A demonstrated passion for working with children and supporting their development

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

4. A commitment to upholding high standards of care and following all relevant policies and procedures

5. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the ever-changing needs of the children in our care

6. A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
