Holy Cross Services is currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cleaning Supervisor & Leading Hand to join our Cleaning Services team.
1 x Supervisor - South Brisbane (Client Mater Hospital), permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.
Monday to Friday – 15:00 – 22:36
Level 3 - $29.45 (base hourly rate)
• 1 x Leading Hand - Springfield (Client Mater Hospital), permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.
Monday to Friday - 15:00 - 22:36
Level 2 - $27.97 (base hourly rate)

About the Roles
Supervisor - Cleaning Services
The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing all the resources associated with the delivery of cleaning services in both clinical and non-clinical areas in a healthcare setting.
Supervise daily cleaning operations across wards, theatres and public areas.
Support and motivate a team of cleaners to achieve high standards.
Allocate duties, prepare duty sheets and manage staff coverage.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hospital standards, infection prevention and control protocols and WHS requirements.
Train new and existing staff in cleaning procedures, use of equipment and chemicals, and safe work practices.
Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and incidents (e.g. spills, infection control cleans).
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to coordinate services and resolve issues.
Leading Hand - Cleaning Services
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership and guidance to Cleaning Services employees
Effectively leading a small number of staff in relation to the assigned area of responsibility and being an escalation point for any concerns or issues.
Provide commercial cleaning as prescribed by the work schedule assigned to the corresponding area.
Complete routine and reactive cleaning as required.
Support Supervisors - Cleaning Services in implementing, reviewing and auditing feedback from the client and Cleaners to improve productivity.
Maintain hygiene standards to ensure effective infection control.
Adhere to all policies and procedures, operating instructions for all equipment and chemicals.
About You
You will bring:
• Previous experience in healthcare, aged care or similar high-risk environment (highly regarded)
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn other systems as required.
Essential Requirements
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one (mandatory)
• Valid Queensland Working with Children’s Blue Card (mandatory).
