Transport Coordinator — St Marys

Oriem is a fast-growing company in the concrete steel reinforcement industry, supplying builders, developers, and concreters.

We're looking for a Transport Coordinator to join our team and grow with our business at our St Marys office.

Working in a team environment, the successful applicant will report to the Warehouse Manager. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role responsible for coordinating deliveries between our branches, suppliers, and customers, ideal for someone who is organised, calm under pressure, and a strong communicator.

Location: St Marys
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling daily deliveries across multiple branches

• Liaising with drivers, customers, and suppliers to coordinate pickups and deliveries

• Managing delivery schedules to ensure on-time, efficient service

• Problem-solving delivery delays, route changes, and last-minute job requests

• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, dockets, and vehicle allocations

• Assisting with incoming phone calls and general office overflow duties

• Data entry and ad-hoc duties as requested

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience in transport, logistics, or dispatch coordination essential

• Good telephone manner and strong people skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; must be competent in Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion

• Knowledge of the Sydney metro road network is highly regarded
