The Opportunity

We are seeking an Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join our modern office in Barangaroo.

In this role, you will:

• Work for one of the fastest growing CA firm in Australia

• Deliver strategic advice alongside compliance

• Work directly with Partners and contribute to firm-wide initiatives

You’ll have autonomy, leadership exposure, and a clear progression pathway- including potential pathway to leadership opportunities and international secondments to our UK and NZ offices, as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, while managing accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.

• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as required.

• Preparation of annual compliance work for high net-worth individuals, trusts, companies and SMSF.

• Prepare and review of BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, and provide financial analysis and insights to management.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

• Mentor and support junior accounting team members.

• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and finance-related projects.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification (or willing to commence).

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Chartered Accounting firm

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Confident in client-facing roles with excellent communication skills

• Ambitious and motivated for career progression

• Must have full working rights to work in Australia
