Maverick Bio is seeking 2 reliable and motivated Production 2ICs to support our Collections and Processing operations. This role is ideal for someone with production or manufacturing experience who is ready to step up into a team leadership position while continuing to contribute on the floor actively.

This is a practical leadership role — not an office job. You will work alongside the production team each day, helping to coordinate workflow, support operators, and keep production running safely and efficiently.

What You Will Do

• Support and coordinate day-to-day production activities
• Lead by example, working alongside operators to achieve production targets
• Help manage workflow, team performance, and daily priorities
• Ensure production tasks are completed safely and correctly
• Assist with training and supporting new team members
• Monitor product quality and production output
• Complete production records and system entries accurately
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Work in multiple locations

What We Are Looking For

Essential

• Comfortable working within a slaughterhouse environment
• Able to work around animal processing operations, associated sights, sounds, and odours
• Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to lead by example and support a team
• Reliable, punctual, and organised
• Available to work a minimum of 4 days per week
• Able to work early morning starts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Commitment to workplace safety
• Physically fit for manual handling, standing, and repetitive tasks
• Can travel to multiple locations
• Must have transport and flexible work times
• Early starts are a must

Bonus Points For

• Experience leading small teams or coordinating workflow
• Experience in training or mentoring staff
• Experience in regulated manufacturing or food production environments
• Quality experience is preferred

• You will be working within a livestock processing/slaughterhouse environment.
