Payroll Officer/Bookkeeper

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Officer / Bookkeeper to join our team at Sal's House Pty Ltd in Robina, QLD. This full-time role will be responsible for running multiple payroll files, maintaining accurate financial records and providing essential support to our accounting operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including payroll, data entry, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting using MYOB

2. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

3. Providing support to the accounting team as needed

4. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient workflows

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a payroll/bookkeeping role

2. Strong proficiency in using MYOB accounting software

3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines

5. Solid communication and customer service skills

6. Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting, would be highly regarded
