Warehouse Associate

Role Summary:Reporting to the Warehouse and Yard Supervisor, the Store person is required to support the day-to-day operations of the supply model at site in line with the Supply & Logistics team priorities.The Store person is required to complete set tasks including but not limited to loading, unloading, freight processing, receipt, issue, storage, handling, packaging, and timely dispatch of goods. The candidate will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are of the highest priority. Store persons will also take responsibility for security of all warehouse areas, resources, equipment & sustainability.The expectation is that the position holder will have strong knowledge of warehousing, transport and logistics preferably with background in the oil & gas, mining, oil, supply or transport industries.
Essential Responsibilities:-• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements• Ensure a high level of stock control through attention to detail utilizing the available warehouse management system• Ensure inventory integrity through accurate receipt, issue, transfer and dispatch of all stock and non-stock items to key stakeholders.• Complete regular cyclic stock counts, investigate discrepancies and ensure correct stock levels are maintained• Liaise with internal customers, suppliers and transport companies to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently• Undertake all assigned duties as directed by supervisory personnel in a timely manner, within the requirements outlined in guiding documentation or verbal instruction• Complete loading and unloading operations with an understanding of how Chain of Responsibility impacts the task and your actions. Ensure non-compliances are reported and correctives actions are assigned.• Receive and dispatch of goods in accurate, safe, timely and cost-effective manner• Maintain accurate records for storage and transport of dangerous or hazardous goods
Qualifications/Requirements:• Certificate/Diploma in Warehousing & Logistics (Desirable)• LF Forklift Ticket• C Class Drivers License• 3+ Years working in supply chain warehousing and logistics roles in gas, mining, oil, supply or transport industries• Good computer literacy, MS Office suite• Good communication (written & verbal), organizational, literacy and numeracy skills• Developed problem solving ability and time management skills• Knowledge of ERP systems and transport booking software (SAP an advantage)• Good understanding of ‘Chain of Responsibility’ and how this impacts your role in the supply chain.
