About the role
Maker Store is an engineering and technology company supplying CNC machines, 3D printers, robotics, linear motion components, electronics and other equipment to customers across Australia. We are looking for a practical, hands-on All-Rounder to join our team and help with the wide range of jobs involved in running a growing engineering business.
The RoleThis is a hands-on, varied position where no two days are necessarily the same.
You might be building industrial workbenches and furniture one day, assembling a CNC machine the next, preparing products for customers, fixing something around the workshop, or helping with whatever needs to get done.
We are looking for someone who is practical, mechanically minded, reliable and willing to have a go.

Cutting, drilling, fastening and assembling aluminium extrusion and other materials

Helping with warehouse and workshop organisation
Basic maintenance and repairs
Assisting with product testing and preparation
Loading and unloading deliveries
Helping with installations and projects
Keeping the workshop and work areas clean and organised
Taking on general jobs and projects as they arise
You don't necessarily need formal qualifications. We care more about your ability to work with your hands, solve problems and get things done.
The ideal person will:
Be mechanically minded and practical
Be comfortable using hand and power tools
Have good basic DIY and fabrication skills
Be able to read basic drawings or instructions
Have good attention to detail
Be physically capable of lifting and moving equipment
Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
Be comfortable working independently
Be willing to learn new skills
Have a "I'll figure it out" attitude
Take pride in producing good-quality work
Experience with any of the following would be useful:

This is a great opportunity for someone who doesn't want to sit behind a desk all day and enjoys working on different projects.
You'll be working with interesting engineering products and equipment and will have the opportunity to learn about CNC, automation, robotics, 3D printing and manufacturing.
If you're a practical person who enjoys building, fixing, making and solving problems, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply with your resume and a short note telling us about your practical experience and the types of things you've built, repaired or worked on.
